Regardless we had a lovely day and I was rushed off my feet because all you lovely people came to the fair despite the weather!!
We sold loads of gorgeous things and met some wonderful new clients.

Here’s one of our first customers of the day who bought this stunning 1960’s faux fur coat for only £35!!!

PFR’s First Pop Up Shop in Wembley!

October 24th, 2012 § 0 comments § permalink

For the last two weeks Past Forward Retro was given the opportunity to use an empty unloved shop space in Wembley Central to advertise our business. We turned one of the dark and gloomy windows into a lush vintage haven and it looked fantastic.

Since then we have also found out for the month of December we have been given the go ahead to turn this amazing space into Past Forward Retro’s first pop up shop!!!!! We are so excited and cant wait to get in there and give the place a vintagious make over.

We open on the 3rd of December and will be having our private opening party on the 4th December. If you would like to join us on the 4th for drinks and cakes then please join our mailing list or email sarah@pastforwardretro.com for an invitation. This is an invite only event as we must keep an eye on the numbers of people attending.

We must say a big thank you to The Coming Soon Club in partnership with meanwhile space who has made this all possible.

More updates on the shop opening times, the address and new items for sale will follow in the next few weeks.

Look forward to seeing you in the new shop!

Christmas Brocante! A Charity event For Sue Rider Care.

January 4th, 2012 § 0 comments § permalink

Two local QP ladies decided to opened their home to host a wonderful Christmas charity event in the hope of raising some money for Sue Ride Care.

This private event ,which hosted a range of stalls (including our Vintage clothing and accessories), also sold handmade christmas cards, ribbon wreaths and potted plants.

The kitchen was transformed into what i can only describe as a Parisian bistro, the tables were beautifully decorated and the smell of fresh ground coffee and cakes were to die for. I was astounded at the range of cakes and cookies, most, i’d like to add were home baked and donated for the event.

As the guests arrived you could see they were keen to buy all the lovely goodies that were on offer and those who didn’t buy were so generous with there donations!

We were very lucky to be invited to this wonderful event to help raise money for the Sue Rider Care foundation and are happy to report that the event  managed to raise over £700 and counting for the Charity which was a fantastic result!!

Below are pictures of our stall and some of the lovely people who bought some of our items on the day.

A fab 1970's Hat bout for only £5!!A happy customer who bought this hat for only £5

this 1950’s faux fur coat was bought for £35. Fantastic!!!

Another Vintage House Sale

November 4th, 2011 § 0 comments § permalink

Every Saturday for the month of October we decided to do a vintage and secondhand designer sale at our home in NW London.

The hallway, which is usually rather sparse in decoration, was transformed into a bulging vintage shop.

We invited all you lovely vintage buyers to come down for a spot of tea and rummage through our newest finds.

A very happy buyer went home with this lovely 1940/1950’s Beaver Coat in perfect condition for £80.00

If you saw something on the day that you cant stop thinking about, please contact us and we will happily put the item aside for you.

Thanks to all of you who came down and supported us.

Past Forward Retro Meets Thandie Newton!

September 14th, 2011 § 1 comment § permalink

Despite the extremely windy weather on Sunday and having to chase after a few dresses that escaped our stall, we had a very successful day at the wonderful Queens Park Day.

Our stall throughout the day was surrounded by hungry vintage buyers so it was a great surprise to turn around and see none other than Thandie Newton wondering towards our stall. We were even more delighted when she bought a 1960’s tasseled leather coat and a pair of vintage white Charles Jourdan shoes. She obviously has a good eye as she was on the stall for only 10 mins before plucking from the pile with such elegance and ease two of our top items.
Sadly we didn’t have a camera to photograph the georgous star but she did promise us that she would be wearing the leather coat and shoes on the red carpet, here are the items so you know what they look like.

Our other fav item we sold on the day  was this  fantastic original 1970’s Biba coat!!

If you have kids, don’t worry, they will love this event as there are loads of activities to entertain them. Queens Park Day boasts a host of great entertainment such as “the Eagle and Vulture show in the arena with all the feathered superstars present, Mr Alexander the wonderful family entertainer, Get Cycling with their bikes and bike-powered Scalectric too, the Rhythm Studio and the breathtaking, gravity defying Ghanaian acrobats”.

Mainly though what’s great about this fair, is that all the stalls are prioritised for Local people and businesses which means whatever you buy you know your supporting the local community.
